Title of Position: Medical Radiography Educational Coordinator

Bargaining Unit / Salary Range: MEA Faculty Unit; $48,846.97 - $58,325.83 Dependent upon Qualifications & Experience.

Responsibilities: EMCC is looking to fill a fill-time Medical Radiography Faculty position to begin August 21, 2023. The individual in this position will spend much of their time at the five (5) clinical internships sites assisting students in the performance of examinations, conducting student evaluations, verifying the completion of semester clinical objectives, and performing competency testing. The individual will act as a liaison between the college and the clinical sites and is expected to communicate with the other program faculty for the purpose of continuous program improvement.

Minimum Qualifications: The faculty position requires an individual with experience in clinical student supervision and evaluation, and with current knowledge of radiographic procedures. 3-5 years of recent experience as a radiographer and well as certification with the American Registry in Radiologic Technology (ARRT – Certification must be current and, at minimum, include the category of radiography). Other requirements include: Licensed in Radiography in the state of Maine, BS degree (or eligible), demonstrated strong interest in radiography education, evidence of ability to provide students with the knowledge and skills required of a radiographer, willingness and ability to integrate technology and active student learning techniques into teaching practice, and the desire and ability to motivate students.

*Preferred Qualifications: * It is preferred, but not required, that this individual has prior classroom teaching experience. This faculty position requires an individual to teach didactic courses, and provide lab coverage for positioning courses, as assigned by the Program Director. having developed new courses and programs.
